The Dance Floor Can Be A Place For Real Men - Try Ballroom!

Not every male dancer need be considered less manly. The male dancer in a ballroom dance couple can be the most masculine man ever. Think of all the football players who have done well on ABC's Dancing With The Stars. Even some plumbers dance. I personally found this out when I gave my wife (and myself) dance lessons for Valentine's Day a couple of years ago. If you search around and find a good instructor, they will inform you and your female partner early on that on the dance floor, the man must be in charge. This may seem like a throwback to the 1950s, but just think about it; only one can lead, not two. Tradition in ballroom is that the man leads, and for many reasons, it is too late to change this.

So, if you want to be in charge of at least one thing without dispute, try ballroom dancing. It has been a blast for my wife and me, maybe it can be for you too.
